Ode to the cini-mini's

There are many reasons that I love Costco, but the newest one is these amazing mini cinnamon rolls! Being that our hotel is practically next door to Costco I am there pretty frequently buying pre-made dinners and other goodies. I am not sure if these are new or if I have just never seen them before, but I am addicted to them now! They are just the best things in the world. You have to warm them up to fully appreciate the yummy gooieness of them. Jorge likes them with a cup of milk and I like them with a little decaf. I am a little upset that I didn't discover them when I was pregnant because I went through a cinnamon roll craving phase, but Salem no longer had a Cinnabon, so I suffered without. So next time you go to Costco you might just want to slip these sweet delights into your cart. At 6.99 for 35 cini-mini's how can you pass it up?!?!

Our first library trip!

Wednesday we took Damian for his first trip to the library. He got his very own library card to check out all the books he wants! After we got his card we went upstairs to the children's activity area for a baby bilingual class. It is really important to us that Damian be bilingual, so once I saw this class listed I knew it was the one for us. It was really fun, we sang songs and read books in spanish and english. I think it will help me learn spanish also. Jorge was the star student, every time the leader couldn't think of the right translation she would look over at Jorge for help hehehe. Reading has always been a big part of my life and I really want it to be a big part of Damian's also. I still remember sitting on the couch with Heidi and Jon while my dad read the Hobbit to us.

How cute is that!

I hope he realizes that he will have to pay the late fee if he doesn't return them on time! hehehe

Playtime!

Damian is much more awake and alert during the day now and it is so fun to watch him discover and play with new things. He has been enjoying his play mat for awhile now but we went and bought him a jumperoo too! I am counting on him loving to play in the jumperoo so once we move back into the house he can play while I unpack! My poor parents have to put up with all this play stuff in their living room since our hotel just doesn't have the space for it, thanks mom and pop! Though I doubt it bothers them too much, especially if Damian is over playing!

Birthday wishes and Tiramisu

Sunday evening we celebrated my mom's birthday with a nice dinner out to Caruso's Italian restaurant. This was Damian's first time in a restaurant and he did amazing. He slept the whole time! After dinner we came back to my parents where we had some homemade birthday Tiramisu. I had never made Tiramisu before and after searching through my favorite cooking website, allrecipes.com, I found the perfect one. If anyone would like the recipe let me know, it was fairly simple and soooooo delicious!

2 months

Today my baby boy is 2 months old. Where has the time gone?!?! He had his Dr.'s apt today and he weighs 12 lbs exactly and is 24.25 inches long! Sadly he also had to get 3 shots today so he has spent most of the day sleeping. On a normal day he is awake more and a happy smiley baby. As we are getting closer to being able to move into the house I am spending most afternoons shopping for replacement items and he is such a trouper shopping with me. We can't wait to move back in and finally be able to take our lil' man home!

To celebrate my dad's birthday we went to Cannon Beach with my parents, Jon, Rachel and Addie. This was Damian's first beach trip and of course I bought him a special outfit just for the occasion! We had a wonderful few days playing games, soaking in the hot tub, walking on the beach, eating, storm watching and just enjoying everyones company. I can't wait to take Damian back when the weather isn't so stormy and he can "play" on the beach.
