Don't Fence Me In: Part !

We are in the process of fencing in our side yard to expand our back yard.  I am super excited as we have been wanting to do this since we bought the house.  We got all the holes dug, phewwww that is hard work, and set all 13 posts in cement.  Supposedly the hard parts are behind us now.  We shall see!

Crafty Mary: Picnic Basket Cover

For my cousins bridal shower my mother had the idea of putting together a picnic basket as a gift.  She asked me to make a liner for the apple picking basket that we bought.  I didn't have a pattern, just the reference of my moms picnic basket to go off of.  I think it turned out really cute and am thinking of making one for myself!  We filled it with all the picnicking essentials, matching of course. 

Around the House

When the house was being rebuilt I was given the option of having lighting put in above the kitchen island.  For whatever non-sensical reason I decided against it.  I regretted it all winter long and decided it was time to rectify the problem.  I picked out these cute lights at Lowe's and my handy husband installed them for me.  It makes such a huge difference, I love them!

 My beautiful peonies have finally bloomed.  

This summer is the summer of projects, though I think when you own a home their is always a project to do.  We also installed new toilets in the bathrooms (sorry no pictures, didn't think anyone would wanna see our toilets :) and are fencing our side yard in.  I will definitely post pictures of the work on the fence.
