NY or Bust!

Part 1

I was so excited that we were able to plan a vacation to take the boys to NY to see my sister and her family.  Damian was even more excited that he got to fly on an airplane!  That and he was super excited to go to Yogi Bear Camp with his cousins...but those pictures will follow in a different post.

A red eye flight meant jammies for the boys.  No sleeping for Damian though-too much excitement!  He was like the energizer bunny, he didn't want to miss any of the fun.

Mason was the best flier ever!  He slept almost the entire flight and never cried.

7-11 meant loading all the boys up and getting free Slurpee's!

Everyone else would at least look at me for a picture....not my son.  He was too busy with his ice cream!

Yummy Icee's at Ralph's with my favorite sister!

Damian had so much swimming in Pong's cousins pool.  We had to drag him out just to get a little food into his belly.  Stay tuned for Part 2, the Crayola factory on our way to Yogi Bear and the Amish!

First Food-Sorta

My little man is 6 months old!
I wish I could keep him a baby forever, but it is fun to watch him grow and do new things.

He was so excited to sit in his high chair!

"hmmm what is that?"

"Not so sure about this mommy"

"Nope, not feeling it"
Oh well, better luck next time!!!

Quick Catch-up!!!

I was doing so good at keeping up with my blog, not sure what happened!  Anyways, here are some picture updates of the last couple of months to get me all caught up!

My Little Valentine!

Damian got a big boy bike!!!

I have been wanting to do rain barrels for my garden since we moved in.  Finally got them completed!  They are still a work in progress-but I couldn't be happier.

Doesn't get much cuter then a naked baby!

Damian is so strong, and such a good helper.  We ripped up the carpet in our bedroom to put in wood flooring-so much better!

Damian started soccer a few weeks ago.  These pictures are probably the only ones that will be posted as he is not a big fan and doesn't want to return.  I guess we will try again next year!

When he did participate, he did really well.

I am following in my big sisters foot steps and starting my very own Easter Egg Hunt extravaganza!

We had a ridiculous amount of eggs and all the kids had lots of fun hunting them down.

My cute Easter boys!
I think this is the only picture where they are both looking at me and smiling!

Mason's first Easter

Rub a dub dub, two boys in the tub!
I shall promise to be better about posting pictures-especially as we will be doing more activities.

Snow Fun!

We finally got hit with some of this Winter Blast that has been going around and I couldn't have been happier!  I love the snow, though I suppose if we got it all the time I wouldn't be so thrilled about it.  In total we got about 15 inches and then a layer of ice on top of that.  Damian had a blast playing in it and every morning he would wake up and ask me if it was still here.  Yep it is still here!

Nani and Grandpa came over to play in it before the roads got too nasty.

Mason and Maggie enjoying watching them play in the front yard.  We discovered that Maggie loves the snow...she always wants to be out playing in it.

We put Damian to work shoveling the front walkway.

Yesterday the snow was finally wet enough that the boys could build a snowman.

Our little snowman!

Every once in awhile we would bundle Mason up to come outside, he wasn't a huge fan of his snowsuit though.

Picture opp on the sled!

Cousin Fun

At the beginning of December Heidi and Collin were able to come out and visit.  We missed seeing Pong, Logan and Austin but with school being in session they weren't able to come over.  Collin and Damian had soooo much fun playing together, it was so cute.

Damian turned 3!

While Mason and I were in the hospital my little man Damian turned 3.  I know, I can't believe it either.  With my parents help Jorge and I were able to spend the day with him and have lots of fun.  Here are Damian's 3 year pictures, pretty proud of myself for getting them done before Mason was born.

When he wants to be, he is ridiculously photogenic!

 I love this little smile!
There isn't anything in his hair, must have been something on the picture when I scanned it-too lazy to rescan it though lol.

He was like a little model, did everything the photographer asked him to do.

We love you Damian.
You are an amazing little boy and great big brother.

Did Mary ever have that baby?!?!

I know, what a horrible blogger I am.  In my defense I have been super busy and haven't had time to hide away in my office and blog away.  Now that I am back at work I have time to keep up with my blog.  I will take you through what we have been doing the last three months in the next few posts. So enjoy and again-sorry!

Due to medical complications I had to have a c-section 3 weeks prior to my due date.

Mason Dominic was born Nov. 8th at 8:05 am weighing 6lbs 5.6 oz and 19.5 inches long.
Not bad for being 3 weeks early!

Because he was born early he had respiratory distress and was taken to the NICU and hooked up to the CPAP machine.  Having Mason in the NICU was the hardest and most emotional thing, no one wants to see their child suffering.  He spent a total of two weeks in the NICU and we couldn't have done it without the help of my parents-Thank you!  With their help Mason was never left alone, Damian was entertained and we were fed!

The NICU staff let big brother pick out a special quilt for Mason, a quilt that we got to keep.

The NICU staff is fabulous and are all about "kangaroo time"  which is skin on skin cuddling.  While on the CPAP only parents are allowed to kangaroo so Jorge and I took turns snuggling with our little man.
Once the CPAP came off we worked on getting him feeding without his feeding tube.

Finally big brother was able to hold Mason.  Siblings are allowed in the NICU, however Damian had a cold so we were keeping him away until he was all better.

On Nov. 22nd we finally got to bring our little man home!  It was so exciting to finally have our family back together and under one roof.  I thank everyone who prayed for him and us
