Pretty Peonies

One of the great things about summer is all the beautiful fresh flowers.  It is so wonderful to be able to go to my front yard and pick these gorgeous pink double peonies to decorate the house with.  Flowers light up my day as I am certain they do many of yours also.  I'm excited because my plant isn't even done blooming yet, so I will have more flowers to come!

Happy Fathers Day

I hope all you fathers out there had a wonderful Fathers Day.  We celebrated with a Fathers Day BBQ, which I had hoped to have outside but the weather was just to iffy all day.
My little man sporting his "My Dad Rocks" onsie.
I was finally able to capture a picture of Damian's teeth!  You can clearly see his bottom 2 and if you look really closely you can see his top 4!
Jorge sporting his #1 Dad (chocolate) metal.

Mary, Mary quite contrary....how does your garden grow?!?!

Why let me show you!
We initiated my dads new Tundra by getting a load of lumber to make my raised garden beds.

Then my loving husband built them for me, in truth I did build one all by myself.

Then came the truck again to fill them with dirt.  Only the premium dirt for my beds!

Then I enlisted my trusty helpers to help me plant all my seeds and starters.  They are available for hire if you needed some work done.

Doesn't get much cuter than that!

Here is the final result.
I am super excited for my gardens and all that I have planted in them.  I have big plans for canning later in the summer, which of course I will blog about.  And don't worry everyone, I am sure I will have plenty of zucchini to share :)
I know that you all miss Topsy Turvy Tuesday but I will have regular garden updates for you once I decide which plant will be the star.
(I love how I caught Charlie in mid jump as he was racing to see what I was doing)
PS: Thank you to all who helped me make my beautiful raised beds :)

Uncle Miguel

Jorge's brother Miguel is visiting from Mexico City and got to meet Damian for the first time.

Damian got his very own America soccer jersey.

Beach Baby

This wasn't Damian's first trip to the beach but it was his first trip to Newport aka "action city" and the bench.

Just chillin' on grandma and grandpa's bench.

Peek-a-boo!

The first sand in his toes!

The sand really frustrated him.  He would grab it and it would slide right through his fingers.

Mommy and Damian love the beach.
