The week in review

Here are a few snapshots of what we have been up too this past week.

 Went to the county fair.  Damian loves cows!

The garden is really on a roll now.  Beets, carrots and tomatoes with zucchini almost here.

Don't Fence Me In: The Finale

We have finished our new fence!  It actually has been a few weeks since we finished it, I'm just a little slow posting about it.  I love finally being able to utilize all that space and am now on the hunt for the perfect play structure!

Gardening with Mary and Damian: Sugar Snap Peas

The other day we picked and froze the last of the sugar snap peas.  It was a great year for the snap peas and they were so delicious.  Damian would stand at the sliding door and ask for "peas, peas".  Currently they are his favorite vegetable from the garden, though the broccoli is ready now so it may take top seed!

Big Boy Haircut

Last weekend Damian finally got his first big boy haircut at a cute kiddie salon, Little Angels.  I really had to be pushed to have his hair cut because I love his long hair.  He did super good sitting in his race car watching A Bug's Life and of course he looks super cute!

4th of July

I hope that everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July.  We had a great day BBQing at my parents house and watching fireworks.  Damian was so cute when we watched fireworks-he kept saying "oh WOW!" each time one would go off.  My parents live on the top of a hill so we have a great view of all the illegal fireworks the surrounding neighborhoods set off!

Strawberry Time

A couple weeks ago we went strawberry picking/eating.  Damian was a little helper this year and actually picked some berries and put them in the basket.  Though his favorite part was obviously the eating.  We picked 30 lbs of strawberries which I made into jam and homemade fruit leather, the rest is frozen for use through the year.

Wild Waves Trip

Last week Jorge won the salesman of the month trip, an over night trip to Wild Waves.  We really lucked out with the weather, it was just perfect.
