Coloring....sort of

The other day I needed to get some things done in the kitchen without a little one under foot.  I decided to see how Damian would do with some color crayons.
I taped the paper down so it wouldn't move around.
He was super cute and did an amazing job!
And I got what I needed done :)

Charlie's baby

Last night I noticed that Charlie was carrying around Damian's stuffed Pug.  I decided to follow him for a little bit to make sure that he wasn't chewing Pugsly apart.  Charlie is ultra protective of Damian so maybe he was practicing his skills with little Pugsly.
 Frantically walking around the house.
He was using his "gentle" teeth.
He tucked Pugsly into a blanket.
(This is not a good pose of Charlie as I caught him with his eye squinted and his tongue out.  Made me chuckle so I chose it anyways)
Decided that wasn't good enough so he tucked him into the couch cushions.
After that he tucked him beside me and then brought him to bed with us.
Super cute.

Too cute

It just made me chuckle when I saw the little grains of rice stuck to his face.  Learning to eat with utensils is not a clean activity!

"Olive Juice"

Damian recently discovered his love for olives.
I like to put them on his fingers for him to eat off!

Spring Cleaning Helpers

I decided to start my spring cleaning early, get little projects done.  I have two little helpers who aren't so much of a help as a hinderance, but they are cute!

Damian thought it was great fun to climb in the linen closet.

At least he waited until I had already pulled everything out to get in.

He had a bit more trouble getting out.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a few pictures of my little Valentine before heading to bed last night.

I will be posting more pictures of Valentine's fun through out the day/week.
On a side note: I made the heart rug that he is sitting on!

Super Bowl Snacks

I am by no means a cookie decorator, but you get the point.
Maybe next year I will take a little more time decorating.

Lots of goodies to munch on during the game.
Then we had a chili and baked potato bar for dinner.

How cute are these two boys?!?!

Seattle Trip: Hotel fun

We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Seattle, a hotel branch that was our home away from home while our house was being rebuilt.  The rooms are decorated almost exactly the same and they have the great breakfast we were so accustomed to.  Jorge really enjoyed having the waffle bar at his disposal.

Damian could have entertained himself all day playing in the bathroom cupboard.
All the ones at home are baby proofed-he was pretty excited that these opened and he could play in them.
 Shows over folks.

He had a lot of fun running up and down the hallways.  The glass partitions really caught his attention.  I can only imagine how big and open everything must look to someone so small.

We put in a request for a crib in our room and this lovely rolling METAL crib appeared.  I didn't even know they made metal cribs.  It looked like a little baby jail house, or a shopping cart.  I wish I had gotten a better picture of it. Didn't seem to bother Damian though, he slept great!

Helloooooo down there!
This residence inn was much fancier and bigger than the one we lived in.

Seattle Trip: Olympic Sculpture Park

Jon and Rachel suggested that we go to the sculpture park.
It was pretty neat and a good walk too.
Walking through these it felt kind of like a shipping yard.

 Such a happy little boy.

They all look so small under there.

The park had a really good view of the space needle.
We didn't go up the space needle this visit, maybe next time.
 And what?!?!

Seattle Trip: Downtown

After the aquarium we decided to walk around and take in the sights.  We stopped and had lunch at the Hard Rock Seattle.  How much more tourist-y can we get?!?!
The boys took a spin on the carousel on the pier.

Up to Pikes Place Market we went.
I didn't get a picture taken of the guys throwing fish but we did see them.

Stopped at the first Starbucks for a Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte.

Doesn't my husband take nice pictures of me?

Seattle Trip: Aquarium

We went up to Seattle earlier this week to attend my friend Jenny's baby shower and decided to make a mini break out of our trip.  Jorge had never been to Seattle before and I hadn't been in up a really long time so it was fun for us all.  For the next couple of days I will post pictures of some of the different things we did.
First up is the aquarium.
When you walk in to the aquarium there is a ginormous wall/tank that you can walk right up to.  When we were leaving they were doing a presentation with a scuba diver talking from inside the tank.

I love the tide pools, especially those sticky sea anemones.

I was really fascinated by the octopus and how active she was.  Usually when we go to the aquarium or marine science center the octopus is just chilling in the corner.  This one was all over the place

Such pretty colors.

Damian has that octopus wrapped around his fingers!

The fish in these tanks either like to show off or think we look just as goofy as we think they do.  They loved to swim right by the window, especially this puffer fish.

Damian didn't know where to look while we were in the underwater dome.

The star of the aquarium right now is the 2 week old baby sea otter.  She was so cute snuggling up on top of her mommy.

A proud momma otter.  The daddy otter is currently staying at the Portland Zoo while baby gets acclimated to her new surroundings.

My otter boys!

How does Damian measure up to a shark?

One more look at the octopus who had finally settled in for a little nap.
